Portreath is a small friendly village nestling in a valley on the North coast of Cornwall surrounded by National Trust countryside.
Portreath is an ideal base for exploring Cornwall we are approx 20 minutes from Falmouth, Truro & St Ives, 40 minutes from the Eden project & Padstow.
The coast to coast cycle path follows the old tram track once used for transportation from Portreath to Devoran.
Now part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site for its importance during the tin mining industry, with its once busy port bringing in coal and sending tin and minerals around the world. It is now a sleepy port, home to fishing and pleasure boats.
Tidal sea water pools lie on either side of Portreath beach, filling each time the tide comes in. Ideal to explore & swim in.
